Experienced Hair Braider

Uptown Braid & Beauty Bar is looking for an experienced, reliable Hair Braider to join our growing salon!

Location: Amsterdam Ave between W 163rd & W 164th St
Commission: 60/40 split — Stylist keeps 60%
Paid weekly

Salon Hours:
Monday–Thursday: 9 AM–6 PM
Friday–Saturday: 9 AM–7 PM
Sunday: By appointment only

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• Minimum 5 years of professional braiding experience
• Preferably local to Washington Heights, Harlem, or surrounding NYC areas
• Experienced in a variety of braid styles, including knotless box braids, stitch braids, cornrows, twists, Fulani styles, boho/goddess braids, and children’s styles
• Must be able to work efficiently while maintaining neat, high-quality results
• Professional, punctual, dependable, and respectful
• Strong customer service skills and a welcoming attitude
• Able to maintain a clean and organized workstation
• Comfortable working with adults and children
• Must have clear photos of your work available upon request

We are a newly opened salon that is actively building its clientele. We are looking for someone who understands that growing a salon takes time and wants to be part of that growth.

This is a professional salon environment. We value communication, reliability, teamwork, cleanliness, and providing every client with a great experience.

The salon is actively marketing and bringing in new customers, but we are especially interested in a stylist who is motivated to build and retain clientele as the business grows.
