The Role: Host

Giorgios Hospitality Group is seeking a warm, organized, and personable Host to be the first point of contact for guests at one of our Wilmington concepts. This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in making great first impressions and setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience.

Recommended Experience

• Prior host, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred but not required
• Comfortable using reservation and seating software (or willingness to learn)
• Strong communication and multitasking skills
• Professional, welcoming demeanor

Expectations

• Greet every guest with warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality
• Stay organized and composed while managing reservations, waitlists, and seating during busy periods
• Communicate clearly and proactively with servers and management about seating flow
• Represent the concept's brand and standards with every guest interaction
• Handle guest questions or concerns calmly and courteously, escalating to a manager when needed

General Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests promptly, managing flow to balance sections and wait times
• Answer phones, take reservations, and manage waitlists
• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date seating chart throughout service
• Provide guests with accurate wait time estimates and updates
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host stand and entryway
• Communicate with front-of-house and kitchen teams to help ensure smooth service timing
• Assist with menus, guest inquiries, and special seating requests or accommodations
• Support other front-of-house tasks as needed during service

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive hourly pay: $16.00 – $19.00, commensurate with experience
