Olivia 91 Restaurant & Lounge is hiring 4 friendly, professional, and dependable Hosts/Hostesses to join our team.

The host stand is one of the most important positions in the restaurant because you are the first person our guests see when they arrive and often the last person they see when they leave.

We are looking for people who are welcoming, organized, confident, and able to problem solve without becoming overwhelmed.

Weekend availability is required. Applicants must be available to work both Saturday and Sunday.

Positions Available

We are hiring 4 Hosts/Hostesses for shifts between:

12:00 PM to 6:00 PM

and

6:00 PM to 11:00 PM

Applicants must have Saturday and Sunday availability and should also have flexible availability for other scheduled shifts.

Responsibilities Include

• Warmly greet every guest who enters the restaurant
• Ask guests if they have a reservation
• Confirm reservation information
• Seat guests according to the seating plan
• Assign tables to the appropriate server
• Keep server sections balanced
• Communicate with servers before seating large parties when necessary
• Answer incoming phone calls professionally
• Assist guests with reservation questions
• Provide accurate wait times when tables are not immediately available
• Keep guests informed while they are waiting
• Handle guest concerns professionally
• Help solve seating or reservation issues
• Maintain an organized host stand
• Keep menus and reservation information organized
• Monitor dining room availability
• Communicate with management when special situations arise
• Assist with light front of house duties when needed

Customer Service Is Extremely Important

We need someone who understands that guests should feel welcomed from the moment they walk through the door.

If there is a wait, you should know how to communicate with guests and keep them informed.

If a reservation cannot be found, you should know how to stay calm, ask the right questions, and find a solution.

If the restaurant gets busy, you should be able to stay organized instead of becoming overwhelmed.

We are looking for someone who can smile, communicate, think, and take ownership of the host stand.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or customer service experience preferred
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities at the same time
• Comfortable answering phones and speaking professionally
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Saturday and Sunday availability required
• Evening availability preferred

Room for Growth

We are looking for team members who want to grow with Olivia 91 Restaurant & Lounge.

Hosts and hostesses who demonstrate strong customer service, leadership, dependability, organization, and professionalism may have opportunities for additional responsibilities and advancement.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 30.0 per week
