Experienced Host/Hostess

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Host/Hostess to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will be the welcoming face of our establishment, responsible for creating a positive first impression for our guests. This role requires excellent customer service skills, proficiency with POS systems, and experience managing reservations and table assignments to ensure a seamless dining experience.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival, providing exceptional customer service.
• Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using reservation management systems to accommodate guest needs and optimize seating arrangements.
• Utilize restaurant table management systems to assign tables, monitor wait times, and coordinate seating to maximize operational flow.
• Operate POS systems accurately for guest check-ins and billing processes when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and organized host/hostess station, ensuring all materials are up-to-date and ready for service.
• Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth transitions between seating guests and managing waitlists.
• Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly, ensuring a positive dining experience from start to finish.

Experience

• Prior experience as a Host/Hostess in a busy restaurant environment is required.
• Demonstrated proficiency with POS systems and restaurant reservation management software.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle high-pressure situations gracefully.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills to coordinate seating arrangements efficiently.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
