Experienced Irrigation Technician

Lavish Lawns is looking for an experienced and dependable Irrigation Technician who can independently diagnose, repair, install, and design residential and commercial irrigation systems.

This is not an entry-level irrigation position. We are looking for someone who understands irrigation systems well enough to arrive at a property, identify the problem, determine the proper repair, communicate what is needed, and complete the work correctly without constant supervision.

The position will begin part-time based on irrigation workload. Full-time opportunities are available for the right person who is also willing to assist with landscaping, lawn maintenance, and snow removal when irrigation work is slower.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose irrigation system problems independently
• Troubleshoot valves, wiring, controllers, zones, heads, leaks, pressure issues, and coverage problems
• Complete irrigation repairs efficiently and correctly
• Install new irrigation systems, zones, valves, heads, controllers, and related components
• Design irrigation systems and system modifications
• Perform system startups, adjustments, inspections, and winterizations
• Identify poor coverage or inefficient system layouts and recommend solutions
• Communicate professionally with customers when necessary
• Keep truck, tools, parts, and work areas organized
• Use company software from a phone/tablet to:
• Review assigned jobs and customer information
• Document diagnosis and repairs
• Add job notes and photos
• Track materials/work completed
• Mark jobs complete and keep office staff updated

What We're Looking For

We need someone who is dependable, experienced, organized, and capable of working independently.

The right candidate should:

• Have hands-on professional irrigation experience
• Be comfortable diagnosing problems without someone walking them through every repair
• Understand irrigation design, installation, troubleshooting, and repair
• Be comfortable using mobile apps/software for job documentation
• Show up on time and communicate reliably
• Take pride in completing work correctly the first time
• Be professional around customers and their properties
• Be able to perform physical outdoor work and lift/carry typical irrigation materials and equipment
• Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Experience with common residential and commercial irrigation controllers, valves, heads, wiring, and components is strongly preferred.

Schedule & Growth Opportunity

This position will start part-time, with hours based primarily on irrigation service and installation needs.

For someone looking for more hours, we can offer opportunities to work with our landscaping and lawn maintenance crews during the growing season and our snow removal operation during the winter.

A dependable, skilled technician who can handle irrigation work independently has the opportunity to grow into a consistent full-time position with Lavish Lawns.
