A small, busy Italian restaurant in Katy, Texas is looking for a dependable and hardworking Kitchen Helper to join our team.

This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen, takes direction well, and is willing to help wherever needed to keep operations running smoothly.

Position Details

• Pay: $13.00-$15.00 per hour
• Hours: Approximately 35–40 hours per week
• Must be available evenings and weekends
• Steady weekly hours

Responsibilities

• Assist cooks with food preparation and basic kitchen tasks
• Prep ingredients, portion food, and restock stations
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen
• Wash dishes, utensils, pans, and kitchen equipment as needed
• Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries
• Keep prep areas, storage areas, and walk-in areas organized
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
• Help with closing and cleaning duties
• Assist the kitchen team wherever needed during busy periods

Requirements

• Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred
• Must be reliable, punctual, and dependable
• Must be a strong team player
• Able to work efficiently with minimal supervision
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English for kitchen coordination, safety, and instructions
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Willing to clean, prep, organize, and help with all general kitchen duties
• Must be available evenings and weekends
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic required
