Experienced Laboratory Technician

We are looking for an experienced laboratory technician to join our team for the period leading up to and through Vintage 2027.

This role will report to the Marlborough Winery Laboratory Manager and Winemakers.  This role will involve sampling, conducting all forms of laboratory analysis performed in the winery laboratory, associated record keeping for the testing and maintenance of laboratory hygiene and standards.

A minimum of 3 years of previous experience in a comparable role is required.  Experience with using laboratory equipment including, but not limited to, OenoFoss and Spectrophotometers is highly desired.

This is a fixed term position based at the Babich Wines Ltd. Marlborough Winery starting early January and finishing at the end of June.  The pay for this role will be between $30.00 and $34.00 per hour, depending upon experience.  The standard work week will be 40 hours per week Monday to Friday.  During the harvest period, typically starting in the middle of March and typically lasting for 3 weeks, the hours for this role will be longer, up to 84 hours per week.
