Experienced labourer

Double Barrel Industries is a construction and earthworks contractor specializing in site preparation, excavation, hydrovac operations, and utility installation across the region. We pride ourselves on safety, quality workmanship, and top-tier efficiency on every job site.

We are seeking a reliable, physically fit, and versatile Experienced Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience, comfortable operating small machinery (e.g., skid steers, packers), and holds key safety and transport credentials.

Key Responsibilities

• General Labour & Earthworks: Assist with site preparation, trenching, backfilling, grading, line locating, hydrovac swamping, and utility support work.
• Small Equipment Operation: Safely operate small earthmoving machinery, including skid steers, compact excavators, and compaction equipment.
• Equipment & Trailer Transport: Transport light equipment, tools, and materials between jobsites using company trucks and trailers safely and efficiently.
• Traffic Control / Flagging: Perform traffic control duties on active job sites and roadway corridors when required to maintain safe working environments.
• Site Safety & Maintenance: Perform pre-trip inspections on tools and machinery, maintain a clean and safe work site, and comply strictly with WorkSafeBC regulations and company safety procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of proven civil earthworks, excavation, or general construction labor experience.
• Small Equipment: Experience operating skid steers, mini-excavators, and small earthworks attachments.
• Physical Fitness: Capability to handle heavy manual work, work in outdoor weather conditions, and lift 50+ lbs regularly.

Certifications / Tickets:

• Trailer Endorsement : Required for towing light/heavy trailers.
• Traffic Control Person (TCP) / Flagging Ticket: Asset or willing to get
• Driver’s License: Valid BC Driver’s License with a clean driving record.

Assets:

• Hydrovac or utility installation experience.
• First Aid certification.
• Ground disturbance or utility locate training.
• TCP Ticket
