About New Era Designs
New Era Designs is a growing landscape and hardscape company serving Northeast Ohio. We specialize in modern landscape and erosion control solutions, including landscape installations, planting, hardscapes, drainage, grading, erosion control, hydroseeding, landscape maintenance, and outdoor living projects.
We take pride in doing things correctly from the beginning—from proper soil preparation and drainage to plant selection, installation, grading, and final presentation.
We are looking for an experienced Landscape Foreman who can lead a crew, manage a jobsite, maintain high standards, and complete projects with limited supervision.
This is a leadership position for someone who wants to take ownership of their work and grow with a professional landscaping company.
What You'll Do
- Lead and manage a landscape installation crew
- Organize daily work and keep projects moving efficiently
- Read landscape plans and execute designs accurately
- Lay out planting beds, trees, shrubs, perennials, edging, mulch, and other landscape elements
- Perform grading and finish grading
- Prepare planting areas and properly amend soil
- Install trees, shrubs, perennials, ornamental grasses, and other plant material
- Install landscape edging and bed borders
- Install mulch, decorative stone, and other landscape materials
- Assist with drainage and erosion-control installations
- Operate skid steers, compact track loaders, mini excavators, and other equipment
- Perform hydroseeding and lawn restoration when needed
- Coordinate materials, equipment, and manpower for each project
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite
- Inspect completed work and correct issues before the project is considered finished
- Communicate project progress, material needs, and problems to management
- Work professionally around homeowners, customers, and other contractors
- Train and develop less-experienced employees
- Ensure company trucks, trailers, tools, and equipment are properly used and maintained

What We Expect
At New Era Designs, the foreman sets the standard for the entire crew.
We expect our foremen to:
Show up. Lead by example. Keep the crew moving. Build it correctly. Protect the property. Take care of the equipment. Communicate problems. Own the finished product.
You should be comfortable making decisions in the field without needing management to provide instructions for every step of the project.
If a crew member isn't performing, we expect you to address it.
If materials are missing, we expect you to communicate it before the crew is standing around.
If something isn't being installed correctly, we expect you to catch it.
If you make a mistake, we expect you to own it and help fix it.
