About the role

A hands-on role working with gardening tools, equipment and outdoor maintenance. You'll work independently and deal directly with customers, visiting them to assess requirements, provide quotes, and carry out work to a high standard.

Key responsibilities

• Working with a range of gardening tools, equipment and machinery
• Visiting customers and assessing their requirements
• Providing quotes and estimates for jobs
• Carrying out hands-on work and ensuring jobs are completed to a high standard
• Loading, transporting and handling equipment safely
• Driving a manual ute and towing a trailer between jobs
• Managing your workload and keeping customers updated
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and professionally

About you

• Previous experience working with gardening tools, equipment or outdoor machinery
• Good practical and mechanical understanding
• Confident driving a manual vehicle
• Restricted or full NZ driver's licence
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Able to confidently discuss jobs and provide customer quotes
• Reliable, organised and able to work independently
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors
