Duties

• Install, wire, and troubleshoot commercial and industrial lighting systems in accordance with electrical blueprints, schematics, and building codes such as NEC (National Electrical Code) and NFPA 70 standards
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to ensure precise installation of lighting fixtures, motor control equipment, and high-voltage wiring
• Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to identify faults or system inefficiencies
• Conduct high-voltage electrical wiring and connections safely while adhering to electrical safety procedures and OSHA regulations
• Maintain and repair industrial motors, motor control equipment, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ensure optimal system performance
• Use hand tools, power tools, and frame carpentry skills for installation tasks on construction sites or existing structures
• Troubleshoot electrical issues related to low voltage systems, commercial electrical systems, or complex industrial setups with precision
• Follow all electrical building codes, safety procedures, and NFPA 70 compliance guidelines during installation and maintenance activities

Skills

• Extensive experience as an industrial electrician with a strong background in commercial electrical work
• Proficiency in reading electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately
• Skilled in high-voltage electrical wiring and working safely with high-voltage systems
• Knowledge of NFPA 70 standards, NEC regulations, and electrical safety procedures
• Ability to diagnose electrical problems efficiently using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and schematics
• Experience in industrial motor maintenance and repair along with troubleshooting motor control equipment
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and power tools for installation tasks
• Construction site experience with framing carpentry skills beneficial for structural support during installations
• Strong understanding of electrical building codes applicable to commercial projects
• Ability to interpret blueprints accurately for precise installation of lighting fixtures and electrical components

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1.0 – 35.0 per week
