Job Summary

Limra Mediterranean Restaurant is seeking a highly motivated, reliable, and experienced Line Cook to join our growing kitchen team.

We are looking for someone who can do more than just cook someone who takes ownership of their station, works efficiently under pressure, maintains high food quality, and helps keep the kitchen clean, organized, and running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in a fast-paced restaurant kitchen, excellent teamwork skills, and the ability to work independently without constant supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to restaurant recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards.
• Manage assigned kitchen stations efficiently during busy lunch and dinner services.
• Maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control.
• Complete food preparation and station setup before service.
• Monitor inventory, minimize food waste, and communicate shortages.
• Keep kitchen stations, equipment, and storage areas clean and organized.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, labeling, and FIFO procedures.
• Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared accurately and on time.
• Take initiative, identify problems, and help improve kitchen workflow.
• Assist with training new kitchen employees when needed.
• Support kitchen leadership in maintaining efficient daily operations.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of professional line cook experience preferred.
• Experience working in a busy restaurant kitchen.
• Strong knife skills, food preparation knowledge, and cooking techniques.
• Ability to handle multiple orders while maintaining speed and accuracy.
• Good understanding of food safety and proper food handling.
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for assigned tasks.
• Strong organizational skills, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Positive attitude, teamwork, and professional communication.
• Mediterranean or Middle Eastern cuisine experience is a plus.
• Availability to work weekends and flexible shifts.
