Experienced Litigation Attorney

Oak Brook Legal, P.C. is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join our growing legal team. The ideal candidate is a motivated, detail-oriented attorney with substantial experience handling civil litigation matters in Illinois state courts.

We are looking for an attorney who can independently manage cases from inception through resolution, including discovery, motion practice, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a caseload of civil litigation matters.
• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and develop effective litigation strategies.
• Handle written discovery, depositions, and discovery disputes.
• Represent clients at court hearings, conferences, mediations, and trials.
• Negotiate settlements and communicate effectively with opposing counsel.
• Work collaboratively with attorneys and support staff to ensure efficient case management.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Illinois and good standing with the ARDC.
• Strong knowledge of Illinois civil procedure and court rules.
• Experience drafting and arguing substantive motions.
• Experience handling depositions, discovery, and contested hearings.
• Excellent legal writing, analytical, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.

Pay: $86,500.00 - $105,000.00 per year
