What they need

Experienced Low Voltage Cabling Technician

TriTech Corporation of America | Waukesha, WI | Full-Time

Know Your Trade.

Take Pride in Your Work.

Join a Team That Values Both.

At TriTech Corporation of America, we believe great technology starts with great people.

We're looking for an experienced Low Voltage Cabling Technician who takes pride in quality workmanship, can independently run assigned jobs, and works well with a team.

This isn't an entry-level position. We need someone with strong technical skills who can follow direction from our Cabling Manager, take ownership of projects in the field, and communicate progress along the way.

Just as important, we're looking for someone with a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work with others without bringing an ego.

What You'll Do

  • Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, fiber optic, and coaxial cabling.
  • Install network racks, patch panels, cable pathways, and related equipment.
  • Mount security cameras, wireless access points, speakers, televisions, and other low-voltage equipment.
  • Work with analog phone lines and telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and project documentation.
  • Independently run assigned cabling jobs while following the Cabling Manager's direction.
  • Coordinate daily job-site activities and assist less experienced technicians.
  • Report job progress, material needs, delays, and challenges to the Cabling Manager.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and teammates.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of commercial low-voltage cabling experience.
  • Strong knowledge of cabling installation, termination, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with network racks, patch panels, cable management, and testing equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints and complete installations with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to follow direction, manage job-site responsibilities, and provide regular updates to management.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds, climb ladders, and perform physical installation work.
  • Willingness to travel out of town when needed.

Preferred Experience

  • Fiber optic termination, splicing, and testing.
  • Fluke certification equipment.
  • BICSI and TIA cabling standards.
  • Security cameras, access control, wireless, or audiovisual installations.
  • Experience running small cabling projects or guiding other technicians.
  • Industry certifications such as BICSI, OSHA, or lift operation.

What Makes Someone Successful at TriTech?

Technical experience matters, but so does the person behind it.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Takes pride in their work. Quality, organization, and attention to detail matter.
  • Follows direction. Respects leadership, accepts feedback, and follows through.
  • Works independently. Can run an assigned job without constant supervision.
  • Communicates. Reports progress, challenges, and material needs to the Cabling Manager.
  • Solves problems. Looks for solutions instead of excuses.
  • Supports the team. Brings experience without ego and helps others succeed.
