Experienced Lower Bay Tech Needed

Overview

Join the team as an Experienced Lower Bay Tech. You’ll work primarily in the undercarriage pit of our service center where you will collaborate directly with upper-bay technicians to deliver fast, accurate preventative maintenance . Must be comfortable working with passenger cars and light trucks and performing heavy lifting as needed.

Responsibilities

• Undercarriage Service: Drain engine oil, replace oil filters, and service under-chassis fluids, grease fittings, and fuel filters.
• Vehicle Inspection: Inspect the undercarriage for fluid leaks, component damage, and overall safety issues.
• Skid Plates & Hardware: Remove and securely reinstall vehicle skid plates and protective covers.
• Support Services: Assist with minor services such as tire rotations (monitoring the vehicle as it is raised and lowered).
• Shop Maintenance: Keep drain pans, the catwalk, the lower bay pit, and lubrication equipment clean and well-organize

Skills & Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, GED, or Vo-Tech training preferred.
• Experience: Prior experience in a quick lube, dealership, or tire center is a plus.
• Technical Skills: Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools, grease guns, and automotive lift systems.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, twist, kneel, and reach overhead for extended periods.
• Requirements: Valid driver’s license and legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 45.0 per week
