At a Glance

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Employment: Full-time, year-round (40 hrs/week)

Location: Eugene and Springfield, OR (travel between sites)

On-Call: Rotating after-hours on-call approx. every 4–6 weeks (paid at 1.5x)

Mileage: Reimbursed at $0.65/mile (truck or SUV highly preferred)

What You’ll Do

• Perform repairs and maintenance: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and appliance repair.
• Supervise, teach, and mentor technicians on the team.
• Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner
• Inspect buildings and equipment to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns
• Carry out preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend the life of building systems
• Support unit turns, property improvements, and seasonal upkeep
• Keep work areas, shops, and storage spaces clean and organized
• Coordinate with supervisors, vendors, and contractors as needed
• Respond to occasional after-hours emergency calls (rotating schedule, paid at 1.5x)

What We’re Looking For

Required:

• At least 3 years previous experience in residential, commercial, or facilities maintenance
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (truck or SUV preferred)
• Must own basic hand tools

You’ll Stand Out If You Have Experience In:

• *Construction or dry rot repair*
• Appliance repair
• Light plumbing and electrical work
• Tiling, concrete, roofing, or flooring
• Deck and fence building or repair

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on role. You should be comfortable with the following on a regular basis:

• Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching throughout the workday
• Lifting and carrying up to 60 lbs; heavier items moved with assistance or equipment
• Climbing ladders and working at elevated heights following safety procedures
• Working in confined spaces (crawlspaces, attics, mechanical rooms)
• Working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Using required PPE and following all safety policies
