Experienced maintenance worker

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Experienced Maintenance Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of building systems, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment. Your expertise in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems will be vital in supporting the seamless operation of our facilities. Duties

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and building interior components to ensure optimal operation.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment using schematics, hand tools, and electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters.
• Conduct welding, carpentry, painting, and other mechanical repairs to maintain facility aesthetics and structural integrity.
• Maintain facilities equipment including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HVAC systems, plumbing systems, and electrical panels.
• Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and maintenance procedures to accurately diagnose issues.
• Lead maintenance painting projects and interior building repairs to uphold safety standards and visual appeal.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or guests while ensuring minimal disruption.
• Use hand tools and electrical equipment safely and effectively during repair tasks.
• Support maintenance operations involving MRO (maintenance, repair & operations) supplies management to ensure availability of necessary parts and tools.

Requirements

• Proven experience in maintenance work with a strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical work, plumbing, HVAC repair, and building interior maintenance.
• Knowledge of schematics for electrical wiring, HVAC systems, plumbing layouts, and PLC programming is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with hand tools, electrical testing devices (such as ohmmeters), and power tools required for various repair tasks.
• Ability to perform welding tasks safely and effectively; certification or experience in welding preferred.
• Strong electrical experience including troubleshooting electrical equipment repair and electrical system maintenance.
• Familiarity with plumbing system maintenance and repair including pipe fitting and leak detection.
• Experience working with HVAC systems—installing, repairing, maintaining heating, ventilation, air conditioning units—and knowledge of HVAC system components.
• Mechanical knowledge covering building interior maintenance such as carpentry repairs or painting projects (including residential painting).
• Ability to read technical schematics accurately; experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus.
• Knowledge of facilities maintenance best practices along with safety protocols for electrical work, plumbing repairs, HVAC servicing, and general facility upkeep.

Pay: $20.00 - $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5.0 – 25.0 per week
