Experienced MATH & STATISTICS Tutor(2+yrs. exper.)

Overview

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Mathematics and Statistics Tutor with at least two years of tutoring or teaching experience to join our collaborative! This role offers you an opportunity to empower students of diverse backgrounds by providing engaging, personalized instruction in MATH, STATISTICS & PHYSICS!. You will work with students of varying abilities and goals and demonstrate competence, clarity, professionalism and a passion for learning to help students excel academically and build confidence in their abilities. Your expertise will inspire learners across various age groups, from early childhood education to higher education levels, fostering a love for learning and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging in-person tutoring sessions in mathematics, statistics, physics, and related STEM disciplines.
• Develop customized lesson plans and curricula that align with individual student needs, learning goals, and curriculum standards.
• Utilize advanced learning technologies and digital tools to enhance the educational experience and facilitate interactive instruction.
• Assess student progress regularly through informal evaluations; adjust teaching strategies accordingly to maximize understanding.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, or educational coordinators to track student development and recommend additional resources or support when necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ experience tutoring or teaching mathematics, statistics, or related STEM subjects at various educational levels.
• Strong knowledge of core mathematical concepts including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus & differential equations.
• Proven ability to develop curriculum content that incorporates modern teaching methods and learning technology tools.
• Experience working with students of different ages—including children, teenagers, and adults—and adapting instructional approaches accordingly.
• Familiarity with classroom management techniques for both virtual and physical settings; excellent communication skills.
• Background knowledge in science disciplines such as Physics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or computer science is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while maintaining high standards for student engagement and achievement.

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6.0 – 12.0 per week
