About the Role

You’ll provide individualized math instruction in students’ homes, with assignments matched to your experience, preferred grade levels, availability, and location.

• Explain mathematical concepts in clear, accessible ways
• Identify skill gaps and build stronger foundations
• Reinforce current classroom instruction and coursework
• Adapt your teaching approach based on the individual student
• Encourage stronger problem-solving skills and independent thinking
• Maintain reliable scheduling and professional communication with families

What We’re Looking For

This opportunity is designed for seasoned educators and tutors who bring substantial instructional experience.

Candidates must have:

• Strong knowledge of one or more math levels, from elementary mathematics through middle and/or high school coursework
• The ability to break complex concepts into manageable steps
• Experience adapting instruction for different learning styles and ability levels
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A patient, dependable, and professional approach
• Reliable transportation
• Willingness and ability to travel to students’ homes for 100% of accepted tutoring assignments

A bachelor’s degree is preferred. Current and former classroom teachers, math specialists, and experienced private tutors are encouraged to apply.

How We Work

We believe the right tutor-student match matters.

Compensation

Math tutoring starts at $50/hour.

This is a part-time, 1099 independent contractor opportunity. All sessions are conducted in person at students’ homes. This is not a virtual or remote tutoring position.
