EXPERIENCED MED-TECH/RA – PER DIEM

Zerbe Retirement Community is looking for an experienced Med-Tech/Resident Assistant (RA) to join our team in our Personal Care Community, on a per diem basis. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for flexibility and additional hours without committing to a regular schedule.

Duties

• Assist with patient care activities including vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and personal hygiene assistance.
• Support nursing staff by preparing treatment areas, maintaining medical documentation, and updating electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Cerner or similar platforms.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining strict confidentiality of patient information and medical records.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition, including physiology and anatomy-related concerns, to the supervising nurse or healthcare provider promptly.
• Support residents with memory care needs such as dementia or Alzheimer's by implementing specialized care plans and engaging in therapeutic activities.
• Follow all safety protocols, including first aid, CPR certification requirements, and emergency procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive senior and community-based care tailored to individual needs.

Experience

• Current Med-Tech Certification
• Current CPR Certification
• 2 years of Med-Tech/RA experience preferred
• Strong communication and resident-care skills
• Dependable and able to work independently
