Experienced Medical Assistant

Overview

Viva Kidney Specialists is seeking a dependable, professional, and patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our team. We are looking for someone with previous medical office experience who takes pride in providing excellent customer service, maintaining an organized clinical environment, and helping patients feel comfortable and cared for.

The ideal candidate is friendly, adaptable, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a medical office setting.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and provide excellent customer service.
• Assist with patient intake, including obtaining vital signs and updating medical histories.
• Prepare examination rooms and assist with patient flow.
• Maintain accurate and organized patient records.
• Assist with scheduling appointments and communicating with patients.
• Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries professionally.
• Assist the physician with clinical and administrative tasks as needed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.
• Keep the clinical and front-office areas clean, organized, and professional.
• Communicate effectively with the physician, staff, and patients.

Qualifications

• Previous medical assistant experience required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Professional, friendly, and compassionate demeanor.
• Reliable, punctual, and well-organized.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced medical office.
• Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) and medical office procedures preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
• Professional references are required.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
