Job Summary: Experienced Miner – Surface Mine (Plant Maintenance and Operations)

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Experienced Miner to join our surface mining team, specializing in plant maintenance and operations. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in surface mining within the last 5 years, with expertise in maintaining and operating plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

The Experienced Miner will play a key role in daily plant operations, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting the extraction and processing of materials. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, technical proficiency, and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance, repairs, and inspections of plant equipment, including crushers, conveyors, pumps, and other machinery.
• Operate and monitor plant systems to ensure safe and efficient production.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues, providing timely solutions to minimize downtime.
• Conduct regular lubrication, adjustments, and preventive maintenance tasks to optimize equipment performance.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adhere to company safety protocols.
• Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to plan and prioritize work orders.
• Complete detailed reports on maintenance activities, equipment performance, and safety observations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in surface mining, plant operations, and maintenance within the last 5 years.
• Proficiency in the use of tools, equipment, and machinery associated with plant maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs), climb ladders, and work in confined spaces as needed.
• Valid driver’s license required; additional certifications (e.g., welding, rigging) are a plus.
