Overview
We are seeking a reliable and efficient Courier to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods promptly and safely across designated routes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and customer service, looking to contribute to a dynamic logistics operation. A valid driver’s licence and experience in commercial driving are essential, along with strong organisational and communication skills.This will be a self employed roll

Duties

• Safely operate company vehicles, including lorries and vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Deliver parcels, documents, and goods to various locations within specified timeframes
• Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting and manual handling
• Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries and pickups, maintaining detailed records of routes and deliveries
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules or issues
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met and report any maintenance needs
• Follow company policies on health and safety, including proper handling of goods in warehouse environments when necessary

Experience

• Proven delivery driver experience, preferably within a commercial or logistics setting
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record
• Experience in commercial driving, including operating heavy vehicles such as lorries or vans
• Previous warehouse experience is advantageous, especially involving heavy lifting or manual handling tasks
• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
• Ability to manage time efficiently to meet delivery deadlines
• Physical fitness for heavy lifting and extended periods of driving or standing
