Application Question(s):
- Tell us about a time you had to learn a new system, protocol, or clinical approach quickly. How did you get up to speed, and how did your work impact patient outcomes?
- Describe your workflow when you have a full schedule of patients, several lab reviews pending, and multiple messages in your inbox. How do you prioritize and ensure nothing falls through the cracks?
- Give an example of how you built trust with a patient who was initially skeptical, frustrated, or resistant to care. What was the outcome?
- Our practice expects providers to think independently while still collaborating. Describe a time you didn’t know the exact care plan to offer but still took ownership by problem-solving—whether that meant reviewing your plan thoroughly, asking clarifying questions, or seeking resources. What was the outcome?
- When the team is short-staffed or overwhelmed, what role do you usually take? How do you balance supporting your colleagues with keeping your own work on track?
- This practice has a steep learning curve and can be very fast paced. Tell us about a time you were under intense pressure and how you maintained both performance and a positive attitude.
- What motivates you to consistently perform at a high level in a demanding clinical environment? How do you hold yourself accountable when no one is checking in?
- Describe a time when things weren’t going your way at work—maybe a string of tough cases, a difficult patient, or multiple setbacks. How did you push through, keep a positive mindset, and ensure you delivered results anyway?
- NPs can practice independently after two years. Why do you want to be part of a functional medicine private practice long-term, and how do you see yourself building your career here with like-minded providers rather than moving on once you’ve gained experience?
