Flexible work + competitive salary package

We are seeking a passionate and adaptive Occupational Therapist to join the team at MultiSkill Centre Ltd (trading as RedDoor Community Services) in Mount Isa, Queensland. This role will see you experiencing rural work and living! Play a pivotal part in delivering personalised NDIS OT services within the local community and enjoy the slower outback pace, rich landscapes and amazing sunsets.

If you are a therapist who loves to focus on client care; we love to care for our employees, so contact us now!

What we offer

At RedDoor, we are committed to supporting our employees' wellbeing and professional growth.

  • Negotiable and competitive salary package with benefits you get to choose
  • Relocation assistance to Mount Isa, Qld
  • Motor vehicle provided for work purposes and local personal use
  • Accommodation provided if needed with negotiable arrangements
  • Paid participation in professional development activities that are of interest to you
  • Freedom to organise your work hours and client appointments to optimise your days
  • Employee benefits, including benevolent charity salary packaging of $15,900+, and an employee assistance program with a unique difference
  • Return flight to a capital city or major town in Australia once per year
  • The opportunity to make a real impact in the local community

What you'll be doing

You won’t spend every day sitting in a clinic room. Our therapists work with clients where their lives actually happen.

One day you might be completing an assessment in someone’s home. Another day you could be supporting a young person to develop skills while they’re at work, meeting a client in the community, visiting one of our SIL homes, shooting hoops, cooking, heading to the shops or working alongside our Support Workers to help someone put new skills into practice.

We believe therapy should be practical, meaningful and connected to the person’s real life.

You will be:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify clients' needs and develop tailored care plans

  • Providing individualised occupational therapy interventions to improve clients' independence, quality of life and achieve their NDIS and other personal goals

  • Maintaining client records and reporting as required, with great AI tools and administrators to minimise your desk-based work

  • Supporting participants in employment pathway programs

  • Meeting reasonable and negotiable KPI’s – we want this to work for clients, RedDoor and you!

What we're looking for

  • Someone with a desire for making a positive difference in the lives of others
  • An adventurous person, looking to experience work and life in NW Qld
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of the community without judgement
  • Degree qualification in Occupational Therapy, with current AHPRA registration
  • Demonstrated experience (at least 12 months) in an occupational therapy role, preferably with exposure to delivering NDIS services and associated requirements and reporting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, families and other stakeholders
