EXPERIENCED PAINTER – QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR

Ready to use your painting experience in a different way?

About the role:
We are looking for an experienced painter with a strong eye for finishing quality to join our team in a hands-on Quality Control role.

The role will initially focus on inspecting completed plasterboard stopping before painter handover. You will work closely with our Stopping Contracts Manager, tradespeople, and subcontractors to identify issues early and help maintain a consistently high standard of finish.

The role

· Inspect completed plasterboard stopping using inspection lighting.

· Identify and clearly mark areas requiring rectification.

· Work closely with the Stopping Contracts Manager to resolve quality issues.

· Reinspect rectified work and confirm it is ready for painter handover.

· Carry out small plasterboard stopping and painting repairs when practical.

· When inspections are up to date, assist with smaller plasterboard stopping jobs and other finishing work as required.

· Help tradespeople and subcontractors continually improve quality.

Who we're looking for:
We believe this position is particularly well suited to an experienced painter who understands surface preparation, finishing standards and what a painter needs from completed plasterboard stopping.

· Strong hands-on painting experience and a genuine eye for detail.

· Good practical understanding of plasterboard stopping and surface preparation.

· Confident completing minor stopping and painting repairs.

· Practical, organised and reliable.

· Good communicator who can work constructively with tradespeople.

· Someone who takes pride in delivering an excellent finished product.

Where the role is heading:
We intend to introduce painting as an additional service to our business. As this develops, this position will have the opportunity to work across quality control for both plasterboard stopping and painting, helping us provide greater control over the complete finished product.

Our view: ONE TEAM. ONE QUALITY STANDARD. ONE FINISHED RESULT.

What we offer:
· Full-time permanent position in a well established business.

· Company vehicle.

· Competitive remuneration package.

· Varied work – quality control plus hands-on trade work.

· An important role in the future development of our painting service.

If you're an experienced painter who still enjoys being hands-on but is ready for something different from painting full-time, we'd like to hear from you.
