Duties

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, drywall installation, masonry work, and surface repairs to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality
• Apply paint using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying and conventional spraying), ensuring even coverage and color accuracy based on visual color comparison and color theory principles
• Operate hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, ladders safely to reach high or difficult areas while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocol regulations and respiratory protection standards
• Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and surface preparation instructions to execute projects accurately within established timelines
• Perform structural painting tasks on various surfaces such as stucco, masonry, fixtures, and other building components during renovation or remodeling projects
• Conduct surface preparation for construction spray painting and coating applications on commercial or industrial sites while maintaining safety standards
• Assist with fixture installation, drywall finishing, caulking, stucco application, masonry work, and handyman tasks as needed to support project completion
• Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials; ensure compliance with safety regulations at all times
• Collaborate with team members to interpret project plans and technical drawings effectively for precise execution of tasks

Experience

• Proven experience in residential painting with knowledge of brush painting, roller painting, spray painting (including airless paint spraying), and surface preparation techniques
• Strong background in construction site experience with familiarity in renovation projects involving drywall, masonry, stucco, caulking, and fixture installation
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, scaffolding equipment, ladders safely for various construction tasks
• Knowledge of construction estimating processes is a plus for understanding project scope and material requirements
• Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately for precise application of paint coatings on different surfaces
• Experience working in commercial or industrial painting environments with an understanding of coating specifications and safety protocols
• Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to surface area coverage and material quantities
• Hands-on experience with construction spray painting techniques including airless spray systems and conventional spray methods
• Familiarity with safety regulations related to respiratory protection, fall prevention (ladder use), hazard communication, and site safety protocols
• Demonstrated handyman skills such as fixture installation or minor repairs that support overall project goals

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
