Experienced Panel Beater – Full Time / Permanent Auto Diagnostic Centre Ltd – Smethwick, Birmingham Pay: £150–£180 per day, depending on experience and skill level.Job Type: Full-time, PermanentWorking Days: Monday to Friday (5 days per week)Salary: £750–£900 per weekStart Date: Immediate start availableLocation: Smethwick, Birmingham, B66 2QSAbout UsAuto Diagnostic Centre Ltd is an established automotive repair centre based in Smethwick, Birmingham, specialising in accident damage repairs, vehicle bodywork, mechanical repairs and advanced vehicle diagnostics.We are looking for a fully experienced and reliable Panel Beater to join our bodyshop team on a full-time, permanent basis.We need someone who genuinely knows their trade, is confident working independently and can carry out accident damage repairs, dent removal, panel replacement and alignment to a professional standard.The successful candidate will be working on a wide range of vehicles, carrying out everything from minor dent repairs to more extensive accident damage repairs.Main Duties & Responsibilities- Fitting, repairing and aligning new and second-hand body panels.- Removing and replacing damaged doors, wings, quarter panels, sills and other body panels.- Carrying out dent removal and panel straightening.- Repairing accident-damaged vehicles to a professional standard.- Cutting, welding and replacing damaged panels where required.- Carrying out filler work, sanding and preparing repaired panels for primer.- Ensuring correct panel gaps, alignment and fitment.- Removing and refitting bumpers, headlights, doors, trims and other body components.- Assessing damaged panels and identifying whether repair or replacement is required.- Working with both genuine and aftermarket replacement panels.- Ensuring all repairs are carried out safely and to a high standard.- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.Tools & EquipmentApplicants must have their own basic hand tools suitable for professional panel beating and bodywork repairs.All specialist equipment, machinery and tools will be provided by Auto Diagnostic Centre Ltd, including:- Professional welding equipment.- Panel pulling and dent repair equipment.- Bodyshop repair machinery.- Specialist panel repair and replacement tools.- Other equipment required to carry out professional bodywork repairs.We have a fully equipped workshop, so you will have access to the specialist equipment needed to carry out your work.Experience & Requirements- Previous professional panel beating experience is essential.- Must have experience fitting and aligning both new and second-hand panels.- Must be confident carrying out dent repairs and panel straightening.- Good knowledge of welding, panel replacement and accident damage repairs.- Experience repairing doors, wings, quarter panels and sills.- Must be able to carry out filler work and prepare panels for primer.- Must understand correct panel gaps and alignment.- Must be confident working independently without constant supervision.- Must have their own basic hand tools.- Must be reliable, punctual and take pride in their workmanship.- Must have the legal right to work in the UK.- Must be able to reliably commute to our workshop in Smethwick.Please note: We are unable to provide visa sponsorship or overseas relocation assistance.Applicants from Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Dudley, Coventry and surrounding areas are welcome, provided they can reliably commute to Smethwick.Pay & Benefits- Minimum pay: £150 per day.- Maximum pay: £180 per day.- Wages negotiable depending on experience, skills and workmanship.- £750–£900 per week based on five working days.- Monday to Friday.- Full-time, permanent employment.- Long-term opportunity for the right candidate.- Fully equipped bodyshop.- Specialist tools and equipment provided.- Statutory paid holiday entitlement.- Statutory Sick Pay, subject to eligibility.- Workplace pension, subject to eligibility.- Immediate start available.Recruitment ProcessWe are looking for a genuinely experienced panel beater who can carry out repairs independently and produce quality work.A paid practical trial day may be arranged to assess your skills, experience and workmanship before confirming employment.Workshop LocationAuto Diagnostic Centre LtdUnit 1C, Grove StreetSmethwick, BirminghamB66 2QSHow to ApplyPlease apply through Indeed and include the following information:- How many years of professional panel beating experience you have.- Your experience fitting new and second-hand panels.- Whether you have your own basic hand tools.- Your current location and ability to commute to Smethwick.- Your availability to start.- Your expected daily rate.Experienced panel beaters only, please.
