About the Role

Revermann Lund Ross is looking for an experienced legal assistant or paralegal who understands how state-court matters move and is comfortable with e-filing, deadlines, service requirements, client communication, and managing a case without needing an attorney to direct every step.

The primary focus of this position will be our probate and guardianship/conservatorship practice. You do not need prior experience in these areas. We have established processes, workflows, and automated documents, and we will train the right person in the substantive practice areas and in how our firm handles these matters.

This position can be full- or part-time, and we have flexibility to structure the role around the right person. The primary focus will be probate and guardianship/conservatorship, with full-time team members also working in other practice areas based on experience, strengths, and interests.

What Success Looks Like

You may be a great fit if you:

• Have solid state-court experience and are comfortable with e-filing, service, and court deadlines
• Can take an established process and run with it, keeping files organized and moving without needing step-by-step direction
• Pay close attention to details and follow through on what you've taken responsibility for
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, courts, attorneys, and others
• Use good judgment about what you can handle independently and when an attorney needs to be involved
• Enjoy learning new things and are comfortable bringing your existing skills into a new practice area

Responsibilities

• Manage probate and guardianship/conservatorship files using established firm processes, keeping matters organized, moving forward, and attorneys informed
• Handle court filings, service, deadlines, correspondence, and related case follow-up
• Communicate with clients to gather information, provide updates, and help guide them through the process
• Prepare documents using established templates and automated systems
• Gather and organize financial information for inventories, accountings, and distributions, with the opportunity to prepare accountings based on experience
• Cross-train and assist in other practice areas based on hours, experience, and interest

Qualifications

• At least two years of substantive paralegal or legal assistant experience involving state-court matters

Prior probate, guardianship, or conservatorship experience is a plus, but it is not required. Minnesota court experience is also not required. We will train the right experienced paralegal in these practice areas and our firm's processes.

Pay: $24.00 - $35.00 per hour
