Experienced Pasta Chef

Overview

Russos New York Pizzeria is seeking EXPERIENCED Pasta Chefs to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced Italian Restaurant, providing excellent customer service while supporting daily restaurant operations. Ideal candidates will have a passion for the food industry , strong communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe workspace. Previous experience in Sauté or Pasta is a must. Candidate must be able to read and follow recipes.

Responsibilities

• Cook and assemble food items according to established recipes- Pasta, Sandwiches and appetizers
• Prep and organize food upon weekly delivery.
• Manage customer orders efficiently, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
• Handle cash register operations, including processing cash and card transactions accurately
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, kitchen equipment, dining areas and bathrooms
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively-- Pizza Oven, Stove, Fryer, Dough Mixer
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries promptly and courteously

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, quick service, or fast food restaurant environments a must.
• Familiarity with POS systems
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and POS operations
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; night shift and weekends

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
