Experienced Pastry Commis

Saya Brasserie is looking for an Experienced Pastry Commis to join our growing pastry team. We are seeking someone with solid hands-on pastry experience who can confidently support daily production, maintain high quality standards, and work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and production of cakes, pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
• Follow recipes and presentation standards consistently.
• Prepare ingredients and mise en place for daily operations.
• Ensure all food is prepared according to hygiene and food safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the Chef.
• Properly store ingredients and finished products.
• Work closely with the pastry team to ensure smooth daily operations.

Requirements

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Pastry Commis or in a similar pastry role.
• Good knowledge of pastry preparation, baking techniques, and dessert production.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Good English communication skills.
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
