Experienced Paving Foreman

Taylor Davis Landscape & Construction is hiring Paving Foremen!

The Foreman position is tailored for individuals who have led crews before, ideally between 3-8 people. This role is designed for those with a strong foundation in paving.

In this role, one would take ownership of paving project execution, crew oversight, and collaboration with project managers to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery. Candidates should ensure quality and take pride in a job well done.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a paving crew on residential and commercial paving projects.
• Operate and oversee the use of paving equipment, including pavers, rollers, skid steers, and other late model/high tech machinery.
• Supervise and assist with grading, base prep, drainage, and concrete work as needed.
• Plan and schedule daily tasks in coordination with the Operations Manager and Project Managers.
• Conduct safety briefings (toolbox talks) and enforce all on-site safety regulations and best practices.
• Ensure work meets design specs, quality standards, and client expectations.
• Manage material needs, track crew hours, and handle basic reporting such as work orders and change orders.
• Perform and supervise routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting in the field.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Foreman in sitework or paving construction.
• Extensive experience operating and directing paving equipment and crews.
• Strong working knowledge of paving and concrete installation techniques, grading, and drainage systems.
• Proven ability to lead a team, communicate effectively, and manage field operation.
• Dedication to treating customers, inspectors, municipalities, and team members with kindness and respect.
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation; clean driving record required.
• OSHA-10 Certification and Hoisting License preferred.

Offered compensation: $80,000/yr - $100,000/yr
