Experienced Prep Cook / Line Cook

Lasang Pinoy is a family-owned Filipino kitchen and karaoke bar built around good food, hospitality, and making people feel welcome. We cook from scratch, serve dishes designed for sharing, and care about the people on both sides of the kitchen door.

We’re looking for an experienced cook to work alongside Chef Bill and take ownership of daily prep. Your work will help us start dinner service organized, stocked, and ready to serve our full menu.

What you’ll do

• Work with Chef Bill to prioritize and complete the daily prep list.
• Prepare proteins, vegetables, sauces, and other menu components using our recipes and portion standards.
• Check quantities against expected service needs and flag shortages early.
• Support the line during service as scheduled.
• Keep ingredients labeled, dated, properly stored, and rotated.
• Keep your station clean and communicate clearly with the team.

Who will do well here

• You have professional kitchen experience, especially in prep and cooking from scratch.
• Once trained, you can follow a prep list and finish it without constant supervision.
• You work efficiently, pay attention to quality, and ask questions when something is unclear.
• You’re dependable, take feedback well, and treat coworkers with respect.
• You’re comfortable working with and welcoming people from all backgrounds.

Filipino cooking experience is welcome but not required. We can teach our food; you must bring solid kitchen skills and a willingness to learn.

We offer hands-on training in Filipino cuisine and pay for successfully completed job-related food-safety certifications.
