Experienced Professional/Structural Engineer

Overview: 
PZSE has an excellent opportunity for a talented Senior Structural Engineer. This position will allow you to participate in the structural engineering design and management of a wide variety of projects. We are passionate about hiring outstanding engineers that will be an asset to our team, our clients and growing our business.

Basic Qualifications:

• Strong skills in MS Office
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, with clients and in a team setting.

Technical Qualifications:

• Expertise in California Building Code and Code Referenced Standards such as:
• ASCE 7-10
• AISC 325, 341, 360
• ACI 318-14
• NDS 2015
• Strong skills in engineering platforms including ACAD, RISA program suite, ETABS, Enercalc and other various related Engineering software.
• Experience with low and midrise commercial buildings.
• Timber framed above Podium structures preferred.
• DSA and/or OSHPD experience is preferred.
• 5+ years experience & P.E. required. S.E. preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing construction reports and drawings, processing and analyzing data.
• Structural design and analysis of timber, masonry, steel and concrete structures.
• Field investigation of existing facilities.
• Prepare structural engineering permit packages.
• Communicate and work with Clients, Engineering Staff and Building Departments.

Compensation: $90,000 to $120,000, depending on qualifications and experience. 40 hours/week, M-F 8-5pm
