Experienced restaurant server

Job Summary

As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will be responsible for providing friendly, attentive service while expertly handling food and beverage orders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food and beverage service, excellent communication skills, and a genuine enthusiasm for hospitality. Duties

• Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable.
• Serve food and drinks efficiently, including cocktail and spirits service, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
• Upsell menu items, including wines and specialty cocktails, to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
• Process cash and credit transactions accurately while managing sales transactions with POS systems.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including proper food handling and beverage service protocols.
• Support the team by bussing tables, assisting with food preparation when needed, and ensuring guest needs are promptly addressed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a restaurant server or in food service, preferably with fine dining or nightclub experience.
• Familiarity with POS systems
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and handle guest relations professionally.
• Good math skills for processing payments accurately and managing bills efficiently.
• Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a high-energy environment.
• Food safety certification or knowledge of sanitation standards is a plus.
