Experienced Restaurant Server

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables with a friendly demeanor
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems ensuring all special requests are noted
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
• Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Process cash and credit card transactions accurately, handling all sales transactions with integrity
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with food safety regulations during food handling, serving, and bussing duties
• Assist with setting up tables, clearing dishes, and resetting stations to ensure smooth service flow during busy hours

Requirements

• Proven experience as a restaurant server or in food service within a fast-paced or fine dining environment
• Strong knowledge of POS systems
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and handle guest relations professionally
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
• Ability to manage time effectively during high-volume periods while maintaining attention to detail
• Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing tabs efficiently
• Food safety certification or willingness to obtain required sanitation certifications
• Previous experience in hospitality roles such as host/hostess or bartender is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities
