Experienced Retail Sales Assistant

About the role

This is a sales-focused position, ideal for someone who enjoys working towards targets, identifying customer needs and recommending products that deliver a great customer experience. You will be responsible for engaging with customers, providing knowledgeable product advice, building customer confidence and contributing to both individual and store sales targets (KPIs). Your ability to connect with customers, recognise sales opportunities and confidently recommend suitable products will be an important part of your success in this role.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with customers and provide knowledgeable product advice
• Build customer confidence and contribute to individual and store sales targets (KPIs)
• Identify customer needs and recommend products that deliver a great customer experience
• Assist with merchandising, product training, stock presentation and cleaning
• Discuss adult products maturely, respectfully and without judgement

About you

• Proven sales ability: you enjoy selling, identifying opportunities and helping customers make informed purchasing decisions
• Confidence and communication: you're comfortable approaching customers, starting conversations and building rapport
• A results-driven attitude: you understand sales targets and KPIs and are motivated to achieve results
• A positive personality: you're enthusiastic, approachable and bring energy to the workplace
• Professionalism and an open mind: you can discuss adult products maturely, respectfully and without judgement
• Initiative and reliability: you're proactive, take responsibility for your work and contribute to the overall success of the store
• A team mindset: you're willing to assist with all aspects of store operations
• Experience in retail sales or a customer-facing sales role
• Flexible availability, including days, nights and late trading
• Availability to work a minimum of 3 shifts per week and at least 14 hours per week
