Advance Surgical Ltd provides specialist surgical assistants to private hospitals across the UK.

We are expanding our network of experienced robotic surgical assistants in Oxford and are seeking suitably qualified professionals to join our established team.

Who we're looking for

We welcome applications from:

• Surgical Care Practitioners (SCPs)
• Surgical Fellows
• Surgical Registrars
• Consultant Surgeons

Applicants must have demonstrable, hands-on experience assisting at the patient's side during da Vinci robotic surgical procedures.

We provide assistance across a range of surgical specialties, including:

• Urology
• Gynaecology
• Colorectal surgery
• General surgery
• Upper gastrointestinal (GI) surgery
• Hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) surgery
• Thoracic surgery
• ENT surgery

Experience in one or more of these specialties is welcome. Applicants are not expected to have experience across every specialty.

Essential requirements

• Proven practical experience in patient-side robotic surgical assistance.
• Appropriate professional qualifications, registration and credentials.
• Ability to provide a professional reference from a currently practising robotic surgeon who can verify their patient-side assisting experience and competence.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary surgical team.
• Ability to work independently and confidently within their professional scope of practice.

Working arrangements

This is a flexible, freelance opportunity suitable for experienced practitioners seeking additional surgical work alongside their existing commitments.

Surgical lists are offered according to hospital requirements, individual experience and availability.

There are no fixed working hours or guaranteed minimum number of cases.

Remuneration is on a case-fee basis, with rates discussed with suitable applicants.
