Experienced Roofer – Field Quality & Special Projects

Are you an experienced roofer who is ready to step away from daily roof installation while continuing to use your field knowledge?

IRE is looking for an experienced roofer to support our project management team with job-site quality checks, project coordination, material deliveries, documentation, and other special projects.

This is not a full-time installation position. It is a field-support role for someone who understands how roofing work should be planned, installed, checked, and completed. It may be a strong fit for a former foreman, crew leader, installer, or other experienced roofing professional who wants a less installation-intensive role.

Responsibilities

• Visit active roofing and siding projects throughout the Bay Area
• Review installation progress and identify potential workmanship or project concerns
• Take clear job-site photos and document project updates
• Assist project managers with quality-control visits, punch lists, and project closeout
• Be present for scheduled material deliveries and job-site inspections
• Pick up and deliver materials or project supplies when needed
• Communicate job-site conditions, concerns, and next steps to the project management team
• Help resolve field issues using practical roofing knowledge
• Complete other field-based special projects as assigned

Qualifications

• At least five years of hands-on roofing installation experience
• Strong practical knowledge of roofing installation, flashing, waterproofing, and job-site sequencing
• Experience as a roofing foreman, crew leader, quality-control specialist, or project coordinator is especially valuable
• Ability to recognize installation or workmanship concerns and communicate them clearly
• Roofing project management or siding experience is a plus
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
• Reliable personal vehicle for job-site travel
• Comfortable using a smartphone to take photos, send updates, and complete basic documentation
• Able to safely access ladders, roofs, and active construction sites when required
• Dependable, organized, professional, and comfortable working independently
