Experienced Scratch Baker

Wyoming Pastry Shop is looking for an experienced Scratch Baker to join our back-of-house team!

We’re a 90+ year-old neighborhood bakery that believes in doing things the right way — making quality baked goods from scratch and carrying on the traditions our customers have loved for generations.

Pay: $18.50–$23.00/hour + tips, based on experience

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has professional scratch baking experience
• Has experience in a bakery, restaurant, or high-volume production environment
• Bread and yeast dough experience is strongly preferred
• Understands dough mixing, fermentation, proofing, shaping, and baking
• Can consistently follow recipes and production standards
• Is dependable, organized, and able to work independently
• Takes pride in quality, consistency, and cleanliness
• Is comfortable with early-morning/overnight bakery hours
• Can work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing baked goods from scratch according to established recipes
• Mixing, shaping, proofing, and baking breads and rolls
• Producing pastries, donuts, and other bakery items as needed
• Following daily production lists and maintaining appropriate par levels
• Monitoring product quality and consistency
• Properly rotating and storing ingredients
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area
• Working collaboratively with the rest of our bakery team

What we’re looking for most:
Someone who already understands the rhythm of a production bakery. We’re happy to teach our recipes and systems, but this position is intended for someone who already has a strong foundation in professional baking.

Position: Full-Time Experienced Scratch Baker
Pay: $18.50–$23.00/hour + tips, based on experience
Schedule: Early morning/overnight hours; weekend availability required
Location: Wyoming Pastry Shop — Wyoming, Ohio
