The Role: Experienced Security

Opa by Giorgios is seeking, discreet, and hospitality-minded Experienced Security professionals to join our team.

The security team will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our guests, employees, and property while providing a welcoming and professional presence at the restaurant.

The ideal candidate understands that security in a luxury dining environment requires more than simply maintaining order. It requires discretion, excellent judgment, situational awareness, professionalism, and exceptional interpersonal skills.

Recommended Qualifications

• Previous experience in security, hospitality, law enforcement, military, private security, or related field is preferred.
• Experience in fine dining, luxury hospitality, hotels, VIP environments, or high-profile establishments is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong situational awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to remain calk, composed, and professional under pressure.
• Strong judgement and decision-making skills.
• Ability to effectively de-escalate challenging situations.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
• Current security guard license or applicable state credentials, where required.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

General Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional and discreet security presence throughout the restaurant and surrounding areas.
• Monitor entrances, exits, dining areas, and designated restricted areas.
• Assist with the safe and orderly arrival and departure of guests.
• Welcome guests and interact with them in a courteous, professional manner.
• Maintain heightened awareness during peak dining periods, late night soirees, private events, and special occasions.
• Identify and appropriately address potential safety, security, or behavioral concerns.
• Respond calmly and professionally to disturbances, emergencies, and security incidents.
• Use effective communication and de-escalation techniques whenever possible.
• Communicate promptly with restaurant management regarding security concerns or incidents.
• Contact emergency services or law enforcement when appropriate and authorized.
• Prepare accurate and professional incident reports when required.
• Assist management with emergency procedures, evacuations, and other safety protocols.
• Help protect restaurant property, equipment, employees, and guests.
• Perform additional security and guest-safe responsibilities as assigned by management.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive daily wage of between $175.00 - $225.00 per shift.
