Job Summary

Duties

• Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, offering personalized recommendations.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clarity and attention to detail.
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
• Upsell menu items, including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
• Process cash transactions accurately, handle credit card payments through POS systems like OpenTable or other platforms, and manage cash handling responsibly.
• Maintain knowledge of wine pairings, spirits, cocktail recipes, and food safety standards to provide expert guidance to guests.
• Support food preparation, bussing tables, and ensuring sanitation standards are consistently met in compliance with food safety regulations.
• Foster positive guest relations by addressing inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during busy periods.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Server in a fast-paced restaurant environment; fine dining experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for order processing and sales transactions.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
• Demonstrated ability in upselling beverages including spirits, wine knowledge, cocktails, and specialty drinks.
• Food handling certification or knowledge of sanitation practices required; experience with food safety standards is essential.
• Ability to manage time effectively during high-volume service periods while maintaining attention to detail.
• Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing sales transactions efficiently.
• Culinary experience or kitchen familiarity is advantageous for understanding food preparation processes.
• Strong communication skills coupled with a friendly attitude that promotes guest satisfaction.
• Previous experience with host/hostess duties or cashiering enhances your candidacy.

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
