Experienced Servers
Nikos in Durham, NC is now hiring for a full-time server position. We are a Michelin recognized, upscale-casual Greek/Mediterranean establishment located in the historic Brightleaf district focused on providing each guest with an elevated, yet warm service experience. A passion for great food, drink, and hospitality is a must, as well as at least some prior, relevant restaurant experience (2years upscale/fine dining preferred). The right candidate will be reliable, teamwork-oriented, and excited to take their hospitality skills to a new level alongside the Nikos team.

Listed below are just some of the skills and traits we are looking for in new team members.

• Expertly versed in knowledge of all menus, included beer, wine, and liquor
• Skilled in executing all steps of service fluently as outlined in our Training Manuals
• Understanding of meze-style service and proper timing of plates to the table
• Perform all side work tasks assigned to you per shift, which will be outlined during training
• Responsibility in handling credit card and cash transactions through our POS
• Prior experience with Toast or other POS software
• Showcasing high levels of enthusiasm and positivity while on shift
• Professionalism when interacting with guests, including both while in the restaurant and when handling phone calls
• Uphold high standards of cleanliness and personal hygiene; adhere to any COVID-related safety and cleaning procedures as outlined by management
• Show up for all shifts on time and in a clean, pressed uniform
• Maintain a team mentality, knowing that we all must work together to create and maintain the highest quality service as possible
• Ability to step outside of position and take on other responsibilities as need to ensure a success service
• Genuine excitement to be a part of this amazing team and create wonderful experiences that will wow and bring guests back for more
