Experienced Service Advisor

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and experienced Service Advisor to join our dynamic automotive team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. Your enthusiasm and expertise will ensure a seamless customer experience, from initial vehicle intake to final delivery. You will coordinate between customers and our skilled technicians, providing accurate estimates, explaining repair procedures, and upselling additional services to enhance vehicle performance and safety. Your mechanical knowledge, combined with excellent communication skills, will drive customer satisfaction and foster long-term loyalty.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly, listen to their concerns, and accurately document vehicle issues
• Provide detailed vehicle inspections and explain necessary repairs using estimating software
• Develop accurate repair estimates while identifying opportunities for upselling additional services such as oil changes, tire service, brake repair, suspension work, or transmission diagnostics
• Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of service orders
• Communicate clearly with clients about vehicle status, repair options, and costs while maintaining transparency
• Manage service writing tasks efficiently, including creating detailed work orders and processing invoices
• Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain proper documentation for all financial dealings
• Utilize automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues related to engines, transmissions, shocks & struts, alignment, or collision damage
• Promote dealership services by suggesting maintenance plans that meet customer needs and vehicle manufacturer recommendations
• Maintain a high level of customer service by addressing questions promptly and professionally

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar auto service management role within a dealership environment
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience as a service technician or in automotive diagnostics
• Familiarity with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools
• Knowledge of automotive repair procedures including oil changes, tire service, brake repair, suspension work, shocks & struts replacement, and collision repair processes
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively
• Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity and trust with clients
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Experience in auto estimating, service writing, and sales is highly desirable
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and manage client communication professionally

Pay: $60,000.00 - $95,600.00 per year
