Lead Signage Installer / On-Site Client Representative

Position Overview

We are a national retail services company seeking an experienced, professional, and detail-oriented Lead Signage Installer / On-Site Client Representative

This is not simply an installation position. We are looking for someone who can combine strong technical installation skills with leadership, customer service, and professional communication.

The selected candidate will serve as our company’s primary representative this individual may interact regularly with corporate representatives, store and staff leadership, and other key stakeholders.

This position requires someone who can perform quality installations while also managing daily activities, coordinating with others, solving problems, and maintaining the professional standards expected by our company.

Key Responsibilities

Signage Installation

• Install vinyl graphics, wall coverings, and wallpaper with precision and attention to detail.
• Install Sintra (PVC) panels, UltraBoard, and other rigid signage materials.
• Install aerial and suspended signage, ensuring proper alignment, placement, and secure mounting.
• Install cleated panels and other specialty retail display components.
• Interpret installation drawings, measurements, elevations, and project specifications.
• Safely operate ladders, lifts, power tools, and installation equipment.
• Identify installation challenges and develop practical solutions without compromising quality or safety.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.

On-Site Leadership & Project Coordination

• Serve as our company’s primary on-site representative.
• Coordinate daily installation priorities and ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently.
• Direct and support additional installers or subcontractors when assigned.
• Monitor workmanship, productivity, and adherence to project requirements.
• Communicate progress, concerns, and scheduling needs to company management.
• Identify potential delays, material shortages, or site conditions that could impact project completion.
• Document completed work, outstanding items, and installation issues.
• Take ownership of assigned work and follow through until completion.

Client Relations & Professional Representation

• Build and maintain positive working relationships with store leadership and corporate representatives.
• Represent our company with professionalism, confidence, and accountability.
• Communicate effectively with individuals at all levels, including corporate decision-makers.
• Respond professionally to questions, concerns, and changing project priorities.
• Know when to resolve an issue independently and when to escalate it to company leadership.
• Protect and strengthen our company’s reputation through consistent quality, dependability, and customer service.

Qualifications

Required:

• Hands-on experience installing commercial signage, graphics, or retail fixtures.
• Working knowledge of vinyl applications, rigid signage, wall coverings, and mounting methods.
• Ability to read measurements, drawings, and installation instructions.
• Experience using installation tools and equipment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field.
• Professional appearance, attitude, and conduct.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to lead others while remaining actively involved in installation work.
• Dependable attendance, strong organizational skills, and personal accountability.

Preferred:

• Previous experience as a lead installer, site supervisor, or working foreman.
• Experience working in retail stores or other high-visibility commercial environments.
• Experience communicating directly with corporate clients and store management.
• Familiarity with aerial signage installations, cleated mounting systems, and specialty retail graphics.
• Experience coordinating multiple trades or installation crews.

Physical & Safety Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work on installation tasks for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and maneuver signage materials and installation equipment safely.
• Comfortable working at heights using approved ladders or aerial lifts when properly trained and authorized.
• Ability to follow all applicable site safety procedures and company policies.

Reporting & Leadership

This position will work closely with senior project management and executive leadership. Specific reporting responsibilities and decision-making authority will be established based on the final project structure.
