Experienced Sous Chef

Responsibilities include:

• setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
• preparing food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, portioning meat, preparing sauces)
• preparing menu items consistent with JGC standards of quality, quantity, and presentation
• keeping a clean work station and clean kitchen
• rotate and stock inventory appropriately
• comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
• lead the kitchen staff to maintain the culinary, sanitation, safety, and quality standards communicated by the executive chef
• perform daily inventory for both prep and purchasing
• train cooks on new menu items and cooking techniques
