Motion Traffic Management is a locally owned and operated Christchurch traffic management company. We’re looking for an experienced, practising STMS to join our developing, high-performing team at our Christchurch home base.

We are also interested in hearing from experienced TTMP planners and designers, along with practising STMS's who want to develop their planning and design skills.

We’re open to hearing from experienced STMSs, operational staff, TTMP planners and designers who may be interested in opportunities in either Christchurch or Queenstown.

Who We’re Looking For

Ideally, you’ll bring:

• Current practising STMS qualification or competency
• Strong practical traffic management experience
• Good knowledge of the Christchurch and wider Canterbury road network
• Confidence leading crews and running sites
• Ability to interpret and implement TMPs
• Strong communication with clients, contractors and the public
• A practical, safety-focused approach to changing site conditions
• Full Class 1 driver licence
• Reliability and a strong work ethic
• Willingness to work days, nights and weekends when needed

Experience with operational coordination, staff training, TTMP planning or traffic management design will be looked upon favourably—but it isn’t essential. If you have the right practical experience and want to develop into one of these areas, we’re prepared to support that progression.

Additional licences, qualifications and traffic management competencies will also be looked upon favourably.
