Core Tile & Stone is a Phoenix-based custom tile and stone contractor specializing in high-end residential projects throughout Phoenix, Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, and the surrounding Valley.

We work with builders and designers to create custom homes where quality, precision, and craftsmanship matter.

We are looking for an experienced Stone CNC Operator who takes pride in their work, understands CNC stone fabrication, and wants to be part of a professional, hardworking team.

What You'll Do

• Operate CNC machinery to fabricate granite, marble, quartz, quartzite, porcelain, natural stone, and engineered stone
• Set up and operate CNC equipment according to project requirements
• Safely load, position, and secure stone for machining
• Read and interpret shop drawings, dimensions, measurements, templates, and project specifications
• Review jobs for potential dimension, tooling, programming, or material issues before running the machine
• Run CNC programs and make appropriate adjustments when needed
• Perform CNC applications including sink cutouts, drainboards, cooktop openings, drilling, edge details, polishing, and other custom machining
• Set, change, and maintain appropriate tooling, bits, and machine components
• Monitor machine operation and make adjustments to maintain accuracy and quality
• Inspect finished pieces for dimensions, cutouts, edge details, finish, and overall quality
• Identify potential issues and communicate them before they become larger problems
• Communicate effectively with the shop lead, fabricators, templator, installers, project managers, and fabrication team
• Work closely with the fabrication team to ensure CNC work is completed accurately and efficiently
• Perform basic machine maintenance and help keep equipment and work areas clean and organized
• Safely handle and move stone and finished pieces
• Follow all shop safety procedures and operate equipment responsibly
• Assist the fabrication team with additional shop responsibilities when needed

Our Shop Equipment

Our shop currently operates:

• Poseidon T-Rex Model S — CNC
• Poseidon Lotus — Bridge Saw
• Poseidon Trident Supreme 6 S — Edge Polishing / Edge Processing Machine

Experience with Poseidon equipment or comparable stone fabrication machinery is highly valued.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a skilled, dependable, trustworthy, and detail-oriented CNC operator who understands that precision and consistency are critical to high-end stone fabrication.

Required:

• Professional CNC stone fabrication experience
• Fluent in both Spanish and English — required
• Valid driver's license — required
• Strong understanding of CNC stone fabrication and machining
• Experience working with natural and engineered stone
• Ability to safely operate CNC machinery and other shop equipment
• Understanding of tooling, tool changes, feeds, speeds, cutting, drilling, and polishing
• Ability to accurately read measurements, shop drawings, templates, and project specifications
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to identify potential problems before running a job
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to safely lift 80+ lbs
• Reliable attendance and dependable transportation
• Strong work ethic and positive, team-oriented attitude
• Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with the shop lead and fabrication team
• Ability to take direction and communicate openly
• Willingness to ask questions when clarification is needed
• Willingness to take responsibility for your work and correct issues when necessary

Experience Level

3–5+ years of CNC stone fabrication experience is strongly preferred.

We are looking for someone who can step into the shop, understand the CNC process, and contribute without constant supervision — someone looking for longevity with the Core Tile team.

• CNC operation in stone fabrication
• CNC programming and program editing
• Tooling selection, setup, and tool changes
• Sink cutouts and complex openings
• Edge profiling and polishing
• Drilling and specialty machining
• Quartzite, porcelain, and natural stone
• 2cm, 3cm, and specialty thickness materials
• Working from digital and physical templates
• Troubleshooting CNC and fabrication issues
• CNC machine maintenance and preventative care
• Complex custom residential fabrication
• High-end custom stone projects
• Experience with Poseidon or comparable CNC and stone-processing equipment

Competitive Pay

$20.00–$28.00+ per hour, based on experience, skill level, and demonstrated ability.

Highly skilled CNC operators with advanced programming, tooling, troubleshooting, and machining capabilities may qualify for compensation above the standard range.
