Job Description

We are seeking an experienced welder/fabricator with a minimum of 5 years of professional welding experience. Candidates must have strong welding and fabrication skills, be able to read shop drawings, and be capable of passing the required welding qualification tests to become certified.

This is a requirement for the position. Applicants must have the skills and experience necessary to successfully complete the certification process.

Responsibilities

• Weld and fabricate structural and ornamental steel components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols.
• Fit, measure, cut, and assemble steel components accurately.
• Produce high-quality welds that meet project specifications and applicable welding standards.
• Prepare materials and complete welding and fabrication tasks efficiently.
• Inspect finished work for quality and accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Work independently and with the team to meet project deadlines.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional welding experience.
• Strong MIG welding, fitting, and fabrication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints.
• Must be able to pass the required welding certification tests.
• Must successfully obtain the welding qualification required for the position.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fabrication shop.

Experience with structural steel and AWS D1.1 welding qualification requirements is preferred.
