Experienced Stylist

Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Stylist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hair styling and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Stylist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality hair services while creating a welcoming and positive environment for clients. Your expertise in various techniques, including hair extensions,( bonus but not required) color theory, and barbering, will help enhance our clients' beauty and confidence. ( reach out even if lacking these skills as I am also looking to train a newer stylist)

I am looking to hire a few main stylists for my beautiful new high end salon in opening here in east Hampton. Must work well with others, maintain professionalism NO gossiping or cattiness and want your coworkers to succeed jsut as much as you. This location has very high foot traffic and this job is for COMISSION- not hourly. With the option to rent a chair if you’d prefer over commission.

Duties

• Provide a range of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and treatments.
• Utilize advanced techniques such as hair extensions, straight razor cuts, and hair threading to meet client needs.
• Maintain sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations and salon policies.
• Engage with clients to understand their preferences and offer personalized recommendations.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills to build rapport with clients and ensure satisfaction.
• Assist with front desk operations including greeting clients, answering inquiries, and managing retail sales.
• Mentor junior staff members in techniques and customer service best practices
• Manage store operations efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Stylist or similar role in a salon setting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cosmetology practices and principles including color theory and sanitation protocols.
• Experience in retail sales and understanding of retail math to assist in product recommendations.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clientele.
• A valid cosmetology or barbering license is required.
